Warm welcome to the Earth Prayers Newsletter for the month of April 2026!

Every day we have the chance to wake up and shape life the way we wish it to be for ourselves and for all life on Earth. This is exactly what we do at Earth Prayers week after week. As a community, we sow seeds of connection, solidarity, and love.

This is active peace work. It is much quieter than bombs and wars, but deep in our hearts we know that our subtle thoughts, words, and actions weave a network and make a difference for life on Earth. They nurture the collective fields we wish to see grow and nourish certainties, clarity, and intentions within us.

As most of you know, every week we not only support one project in a specific theme area with money and our best wishes, but we also nurture the corresponding area of life with our focus and intentions in that particular week. Our actions take place both outwardly and inwardly. We are deeply grateful that you are on this wonderful journey with us!

We would like to share words of gratitude from Sang Jatta from Gambia, which he sent us when he learned that just over 600 euros had been raised for his agricultural project last month:

“I am overjoyed, and when I saw your message, tears came to my eyes. There are good people on Earth! I wish you could come here one day and not just via video call. I pray to God that He may continue to support you in your work and in your generosity! I think that one day I too will be able to support others in this way!”

Gualtiero and Nathalia have also sent us a wonderful message from Venezuela:

Now let’s turn to the projects for the month of April, which will take us to Colombia, Austria, Venezuela, and Kenya.

🌞 6.–12.4.2026 ~ Nature & Culture ~ Bijao as Alternative to Plastic ~ Colombia ❤️

Jairo lives in a village near Medellín, Colombia. For decades he has been passionate and active in organic farming. He has already successfully implemented many projects. Now he has approached us with a new idea.

In Colombia there is a plant called Bijao. It belongs to the same family as the banana and has large leaves. Traditionally, the delicious “tamales” are wrapped in them in Colombia. Jairo would like to attract larger investors to start a Bijao project and thereby replace millions of plastic plates in Colombia.

This requires technology, research, and time. With our support, Jairo can repair his computer, which he needs to complete the documents required to present this project effectively to the public. With the remaining money, he can feed his family for a month and devote himself fully to the Bijao topic.

He is convinced that the concept will work and that it will be a very meaningful and groundbreaking project! We are happy to support Jairo with all our hearts.

🌞 13.–19.4.2026 ~ The Empowered Woman ~ Support for a Home Birth ~ Austria ❤️

We want to support a dear woman here in Austria so she can afford a home birth. We are convinced that a home birth can be unimaginably valuable for the life of a child and for the mother’s birthing process.

It is a great joy for us to be able to give this woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, a little more financial security and our best wishes during this time of bringing new life into the world.

It is wonderful to experience how more and more women in our latitudes are once again feeling the call to give birth in the most natural way possible, yet in safety and accompanied by a midwife. We know that children are the seeds of our future, and what more beautiful start to a new life could there be than to be born naturally and securely in one’s own home?

In this field, the indigenous knowledge from many places on Earth (including the indigenous knowledge of Europe) can unite with Western medical knowledge. As you may remember, in the past we have often supported the House of Births “Ruruchay” in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where Ruro passes on the knowledge of natural, traditional birthing and has also accompanied many births herself. May this field continue to expand and the wisdom of birthing connect with one another.

🌞 20.–26.4.2026 ~ Free Development for Children ~ Place of Learning ~ Waldorf Education ~ Venezuela ❤️

Zenovia lives in the mountains of Venezuela. She has a big heart for children and for organic farming. She will renovate her house and create a seminar room that will then be used for seminars and learning groups.

She is currently training in Waldorf education and would especially like to offer children, during the school holidays, the chance to learn holistically at her home about the rhythms of life in all their forms. At the moment she goes to the school every week to support the music lessons and to inspire the students with her cuatro (a traditional Venezuelan string instrument) skills.

In total, Zenovia is asking for support in the amount of 1,000 euros to sustainably strengthen her vision. Earth Prayers is happy to support this wonderful woman and her noble intentions with all our hearts!

🌞 27.4.- 3.5.2026 ~ Holistic Health ~ Vuka Daraja na Jirani ~ Kenya ❤️

This week we are once again supporting Lochuch and Ari from the Vuka Daraja na Jirani association in Baragoi, Kenya. The two are there with a lot of heart for their fellow human beings, especially for the children and the elders.

In recent times we have also specifically supported them in standing on their own two feet by helping them open a small shop and start a small chicken farm. It is important that the family itself is doing well so they can continue to work sustainably in the area. This time the support will again be used for school uniforms, for children’s meals, for seeds and also for the school fees of their two daughters.

Now we come to the figures for the month of April 2026! Heartfelt thanks to all who contributed outwardly and inwardly this month! The support for the Waldweg children’s group in Lower Austria was particularly substantial!

We wish you a meaningful and peaceful April, and we also wish all the people who are currently experiencing war to return to times of peace as soon as possible.
