Earth Prayers Letter - June 2025

June has reached us in the heart of Europe with all its abundance and warmth. With exactly this vitality and joy, we send our best wishes and financial support to one project per week this month as well. In doing so, we weave networks of goodwill and connection between peoples, individuals, cultures, and continents. We nurture the visions of others and, in turn, nurture our own visions. We are constantly aware that our intentions and wishes, which we send around the Earth week after week, are at least as important as our financial contributions!

Our work stands for peace, embodying active peace efforts. Our wishes go out especially to all those facing the brutal attacks in the Gaza Strip, as well as to all the people, Russians and Ukrainians alike, who are forced to sacrifice their lives as pawns of great powers and economic interests.

From the Casita Redonda in the Andes of Venezuela, we have received heartwarming photos and videos. There, with our support, 5 musical instruments were purchased: 5 cuatros. The cuatro is perhaps the most iconic stringed instrument of Venezuela.

From William and his association Vuka Daraja na Jirani (Cross the Bridge with the Neighbor), we have received pictures from their agricultural efforts. Beans have been harvested, trees have been planted. As always, William and his wife Ari are wholeheartedly committed to supporting the people in their home village and neighboring villages in growing vegetables, ensuring that children can attend school, and that there is enough food for both children and the elderly. We look forward to supporting William and Ari again soon.

The 5 projects this month take us once to Venezuela and four times to Kenya!

🌞 2.-8.6.2025 ~ Free Seeds ~ Andrea and Jhoan - Home Ownership Development ~ Venezuela ❤️

Andrea and Jhoan live with their two children (1 and 9 years old) in La Azulita, Venezuela. They lead a very independent and nature-connected life. Many of their food supplies are grown by themselves. They have a green thumb and skillfully propagate native, regional seeds.

For years, they have been renting the house they currently live in. The house is now up for sale, and since the owners greatly value Andrea, Jhoan, and their two children, they have agreed to sell it to them. It is the great dream of this family, and Andrea is fully convinced that the universe will support them in paying for the house. Jhoan has opened a bakery at home, which is very popular among the residents of neighboring villages. Andrea sells the fresh goods to the people. It is an organic bakery, and many interesting and creative types of bread are created here.

Andrea has contacted us and asked for support in purchasing the house. We wholeheartedly want to help this family get a little closer to their dream of owning their own home (5,000 dollars). In Venezuela, it is currently extremely difficult to come up with 5,000 dollars.

What is the seed that is deeply planted within you? Do you allow it to unfold? Andrea and Jhoan are following their inner seed and bringing it to life outwardly: and we are supporting them in this!

🌞 9.-15.6.2025 ~ Sustainable Agriculture ~ Maisha Orphanage ~ Kenya ❤️

For the second time, we are supporting the Maisha Orphanage, located just outside Nairobi. This time, the focus is on increasing food sovereignty. Joseph from the Maisha Orphanage has asked us to help finance a drip irrigation system. This will allow more vegetables to grow, and an even larger portion of the meals will come directly from their own vegetable garden.

Any surplus produce is planned to be sold to neighbors at fair prices. The revenue will, among other things, fund afternoon classes for the children and youth of the orphanage. We wholeheartedly support this endeavor!

How sustainably do we treat our own nature? Our soul? Our body? The Maisha Orphanage sows and harvests in harmony with nature, ensuring that the food for the children is regional and full of nutrients!

🌞 16.-22.6.2025 ~ Nature & Culture ~ Peninah Lesorogol - Forest Garden Project ~ Kenya ❤️

After a long time, we turn again to the deeply touching forest garden project of Peninah Lesorogol in her home village of Naiborkeju, Kenya. Peninah, together with her extended family, has already planted many trees there. Some of them have grown significantly, transforming the otherwise arid landscape into a small forest.

In July, Peninah plans to return to her homeland to continue this project and carry out many more initiatives in Samburu, Kenya. More trees are to be planted! We wholeheartedly support this inspiring woman, Peninah, and her family in this endeavor!

In her work, Peninah is particularly dedicated to the women of her family and tribe. Through the forest garden project, they can gain an independent income. However, she also includes young adults and men in her project, which is a blessing for both nature and people.

Among the Samburu tribe, one can find much wisdom passed down from ancestors. How do we engage with the wisdom of our ancestors? Do we value and work with it, creatively shaping solutions in the here and now by combining ancestral wisdom with the knowledge and insights of the present, to best serve humanity today?

Many indigenous cultures can show us how to live in harmony with Mother Earth. Many cultural achievements in the West, too, have arisen from direct contact and engagement with nature.

🌞 23.-29.6.2025 ~ The Empowered Woman ~ Studies for 2 Young Women ~ Kenya ❤️

Naomi teaches at a university in Kenya. She is a professor and also a deeply compassionate woman. In recent months, two female students in her classes stood out to her. Both started missing classes and had lost significant weight. Upon investigating, she discovered that severe financial and social hardships were the reasons. Naomi decided to help these two students and has been supporting them for months.

She is asking the Earth Prayers Community for support to enable these two young women to successfully complete their psychotherapy studies. We, as the Earth Prayers Community, are happy to support this wholeheartedly!

The goal is to cover both tuition fees and funds for balanced nutrition. In total, we aim to raise 2,500 euros for the two students.

🌞 30.6.-6.7.2025 ~ Free Development for Children ~ Magarini Children Project ~ Kenya ❤️

We are once again supporting this ambitious school project in eastern Kenya. Here, many children attend school and, alongside regular subjects, learn about organic farming. Emmanuel, the school’s director and founder of the initiative, is a wonderful person who wants only the best for the children at the Magarini Children Center. I met him last year and was deeply impressed by his character and dedication.

Previously, we supported the purchase of sewing machines to produce sanitary pads for the girls at the school and also helped with the purchase of German textbooks.

Now, the focus is on acquiring and installing a solar system. In this part of the world, solar systems are highly effective due to the strong and nearly constant sunlight. We wholeheartedly support this development at the Magarini Children Center!

When I visited the Magarini Children Project, I could strongly feel the energy and creativity of the children. I also greatly admired Emmanuel and Furaha in their work and presence. What space do we give to our creativity, to our inner child? Is there room for joy, for simply being, for spontaneity? These children remind us of these qualities inherent in all of us. We are delighted to continue supporting this school and are grateful for the inspiration and joy that the children and teachers share with us!

By far, the largest portion of our donations comes from people who have set up a monthly standing order with the reference: "For all weekly projects." In this case, the donation is divided among the 4–5 projects of the month. This means that if someone donates 10 euros per month, each individual project receives a little more than 2 euros. Of course, higher donations are also very welcome.

It is also possible to support a specific project. This can only be done during the exact week when we are promoting a project. In that week, you can send an amount with the reference: "Project of this week + Name of the project," and the money will go directly to that project.
