Earth Prayers Letter - August 2025

Dear Earth Prayers Family,

It is August. It is time to forward the funds collected for July’s projects and thereby nourish people and visions. This will happen in the coming days. It is also time to turn our attention to this month’s projects. Week after week, we nurture a vision, a project in various places on this planet, within one of our seven Earth Prayers areas of life.

We are deeply grateful and happy for our collective efforts! Our seeds are sprouting in many places around the world and making an impact! Not only materially but also spiritually.

About a month ago, I had the pleasure of personally meeting Matthias Walter, the wonderful co-founder of the Peace Tree Foundation, at a peace tree planting in Bavaria. This project combines two incredibly valuable things for me: planting trees on one hand and peace ceremonies that lead us to recognize ourselves as a human family and ambassadors of peace. I am thrilled that we are starting this month with this profoundly meaningful initiative in these times!

🌞 August 4–10, 2025 ~ Nature & Culture ~ Peace Tree Foundation ~ Germany ❤️

For the first time, we are supporting the wonderful Peace Tree Movement, which aims to remind people of peace within and without and, among other things, seeks to manifest this through the concrete act of planting peace trees on this earth, tree by tree.

On friedensbaum.de, you can find more information about this touching initiative, which was born in Germany and has already become active in so many countries around the world. With a heart-opening and cross-cultural ceremony, peace trees are planted where there is a great desire for peace.

In times like these, there is likely nothing more valuable and meaningful than nurturing and supporting peace in all its forms!

Here are some words directly from the Peace Tree Movement:

“Let us plant peace for ourselves and for those who come after us.”

“The heart of our work:

The core of our peace work is the global planting of peace trees. They are planted during a ceremonial event. In doing so, we pave the way for a new togetherness that brings peace consciousness into many areas of society, from the inside out. The trees vary in type and are selected based on the conditions of each respective country.

We invite people to let the impulse of peace, which we plant as a fruitful seed, grow in their hearts and pass it on.”

With our financial support, we will enable one or more people to receive training on the explanations and processes for peace tree plantings. These individuals will then carry forward the seed and essence of the Peace Tree Foundation by planting peace trees!

We wholeheartedly support the Peace Tree Foundation and wish for their work to continue to flourish and touch many hearts!

🌞 August 11–17, 2025 ~ The Empowered Woman ~ Oriana - Self-Employment ~ Venezuela ❤️

We want to support Oriana a second time in regaining her professional independence. She lives with her two children in a village in the state of Zulia, Venezuela. Oriana loves baking sweets and has earned her living this way in the past. The economic situation in Venezuela is very precarious, which makes our support immensely helpful to her.

In early June, we were able to send Oriana 488 euros, with which she already purchased a new stove with an oven and a mixer. Once again, we want to enable the purchase of another kitchen appliance as well as some ingredients for her production. Together, we can sustainably change this woman’s life and guide her back to self-employment. We do this with all our hearts!

Most recently, Oriana reached out to us with the following words:

“I will make the most of this opportunity that your support gives me. God bless you, and I will also be a new seed to help other projects.”

🌞 August 18–24, 2025 ~ Free Development for Children ~ Holistic Support for Schoolchildren - Alipurduar ~ India ❤️

Two weeks ago, I met the leader of a heartfelt initiative in the northern state of Bengal, India. Debashree is deeply committed to children living in the poorest conditions in Alipurduar. Currently, this initiative supports 85 children with their schooling. In three small centers, they are cared for by teachers and volunteers before and after school, ensuring they actually attend. Without this extra support, many of these children would not manage to go to school regularly or keep up with lessons, as their parents are day laborers, most of them illiterate, and lack the time or energy to accompany their children to school.

A few years ago, Debashree approached the people of this region and asked how she could support them. The mothers there were unanimous: “Please help us ensure our children escape this poverty and get a good education.” Debashree took this to heart. She has a huge heart for the children of Alipurduar, who live in an area by a river that floods every year during the monsoon. She gives the people and children there the feeling that they matter, that they are valuable and seen! The first young people have already graduated from school, and currently, three of these graduates are volunteering and supporting the three learning centers!

We wholeheartedly support this initiative launched by Debashree! For example, 600 euros could buy a pair of shoes for these 85 children. For 425 euros, sweatshirts could be purchased for the cold season. An additional 425 euros could provide a small kitchen garden for the families of these children. We will surely continue to support this initiative again and again! May these 85 children thrive and realize their dreams and visions in the future!

🌞 August 25–31, 2025 ~ Holistic Health ~ Conuco Tukuy - Children and Agroecology ~ Venezuela ❤️

A few weeks ago, Wilmania from Venezuela contacted us about a wonderful project. She lives on the coast of Venezuela in La Guaira, in an eco-village, and is involved in a touching project for which she is asking for our support.

She wants to offer 20 children a 40-hour course over one month, teaching them about the knowledge and wisdom of regional medicinal plants. In a playful way, the children will learn about the properties and effects of various medicinal plants. They will also craft a stuffed animal filled with a healing herb, which they can take home afterward, shaped like an animal protected in Venezuela. This way, a medicinal herb can accompany the children while they sleep and unfold its healing effects.

To carry out this wonderful idea, Wilmania needs support to purchase a sewing machine and sewing supplies, as well as to prepare the workshop space and provide food and drinks for the children during the course. At the same time, the sewing machine will greatly help Wilmania in her own work and in creating sewn artworks.

We wholeheartedly support this initiative! It combines knowledge about herbs and animals for children in a playful way and strengthens Wilmania in her work!

At the end of the newsletter, as usual, we share the figures from the previous month with you. This money is forwarded 100 percent to the respective projects. Heartfelt thanks for this collective financial strength!
